Default Waste of skill points?

As we know, you can be teached skills by the skill trainers. But ain't it possible to get the same skills through doing quests? I read that 'banish' or 'healing breeze' is only available for monks as first class. A warrior/monk is consequently not able to get it through quests? And is it true that there are new quests in the pre-searing ascalon (where you can get some skills)? I would be kind a pissed if it was..

Most of them can be obtained through quests, even for W/Mo.

In the last round of beta, Healing Breeze was only available to primary monks until you could capture it. When retail came, we found that most skills were aquired through quests, including Healing Breeze.
